Eastside
The Puget Sound area's high-tech economy is centered in the suburban cities hugging the eastern shores of Lake Washington. Bellevue is one of the region's largest cities, while unassuming Redmond is home to software titan Microsoft Corp. Many of the area's most affluent neighborhoods lie on the Eastside, including Mercer Island and the "Gold Coast" communities.
