State's legal community has chance to right the wrongs

THE POWER TO HARM "The Power to Harm" is outstanding and a great public service. A couple of conclusions seem obvious: The criminal justice system didn't work. Apparently, innocent people are in prison. Families are destroyed. Fundamental rights are trampled. It is now the responsibility of the state's legal community to step in and mount a frontal assault to right the wrongs. A special commission authorized by the Legislature and appointed by the State Supreme Court is in order.

Child Protective Services failed in the basic mission implied by its name. If that happened in any private business, the board of directors would go through senior management with a meat ax.

And finally, where were the media when all of this was happening? I remember reading the initial articles and thinking something is wrong with this picture. Surely some assignment editor somewhere must have had the same reaction.
